: Buildings Of Cookstown; Photo of downtown Cookstown circa 1900 taken of the north side of Queen Street. The buildings visible in the image from left to right are the butcher shop, telephone office, Eby's Store (also known as Bob Robinson's), and the Mansion House Hotel. The image also features some large machinery, a threshing machine and water tank owned by the Water Ferrier of Innisfil, parked in front of the Mansion House Hotel being towed by a tractor and operated by two men. The telephone lines are also visible, but the image predates the installation of hydro lines.

: Business - Iga Store And Credit Union; Youngs IGA Foodliner and Innisfil Farmers Credit Union shortly after construction in 1959. These were the first two units in the Stroud Plaza and were constructed by William Young to accomodate the Young's grocery business and the Credit Union, both of which had outgrown their existing premises.Since neither the Youngs nor the Credit Union had sufficient cash or credit facilities to finance the project, innovative financing was required. A company was incorporated with William Young as president, George Young as vice president and John Young as secretary-treasurer. Preferred, redeemable shares were sold to people in the community; farmers, retired persons and others. The plaza was built and the space leased to the Youngs and the Credit Union. As time went by and the businesses prospered these shares were redeemed by the company. The preferred shareholders all got their money back as well as receiving a good annual return on their investments. In 1973 more units were added; a drug store, liquor store, law office, medical office and convenience store. Later a post office, restaurant, ceramics store and chiropractor were added. In 2003 the plaza was sold to a group of doctors and a walk-in clinic, another dentist, an eye doctor, and a physiotherapist were established. This plaza was the first shopping centre in Innisfil as well as being the home of Innisfil's first drug store, first grocery self-serve supermarket, first liquor and wine store, first video rental store, first chiropractors office, first purpose built medical offices, first purpose built post office and first purpose built law office Businesses - store Young's IGA - Stroud Credit Union - Innisfil, IHS4133

Top of hill This service satation was built of logs off the Marquis Farm about 1931, and operated for about 5 years. There were three log cabins rented on an overnight basis.
